This month, we're building a rifle sling featuring a genuine ostrich leg inlay, and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you. We haven't done a project like this in a long time, and it combines several techniques that every leatherworker should have in their skill set. You'll learn exotic leather inlay work, lining and assembly, stitching, finishing techniques, and even how to achieve rich, professional-looking color through dyeing.

Your sling body, strap, and liner arrive clicked out and ready for assembly, and I've included an acrylic template to help guide the process. Then I'll walk you through every step in my latest YouTube build series, from cutting the inlay and preparing the exotic leather to stitching, finishing, and final assembly.
